~Freedom~
I was born along the beautiful winding River of the Common Land,
The mountains through which the river run
provided protection,
nestled in against the cold and wind.
As I grew the mountains created longing and vision
A desire to explore and climb.
The rushing river led to new lands, new people,
new ways.
The wind called me home to raise my family,
To see my children feel the earth – know the power of Mother Nature.
The River and Mountains continue to hold me, though I am older and wiser,
they guide my days.
As I gallop with my heart wide open through the tall trees to the top of the mountain, looking at the river below, my horse calls out we are home and we are free.
I shall die here in this beautiful place I call Home.
Right where I belong.
