I have been pondering the idea of economy- If we know it to be true that the rich keep getting richer, and the poor keep getting poorer. We know it to be true, that the largest number of people in our population are poor and the smallest number are rich. How then I ask could the poor be inclined to support the notion that we should continue to accept the proposed economic schema and be a part of building the economy. When the poor already know to how to live poor and know that it is in simplicity and restraint that one makes peace with their lot in life. I ask who benefits the most from the harvesting of our natural resources, and how much would be enough.
I say, let’s look at the soul sickness of amassing wealth, the hunger for more as the rationality for our actions against Mother Earth. Please, spend some time in contemplation concerning the desire for more and to whom it truly benefits. Look carefully, be willing to see.
When your politics, religion and social constructs cause you to ignore humanity, our environment and basic civilities, in my opinion you have lost your way and follow you I will never.
